How do I volunteer to Referee for Region 160?

If you are at least 12 years old and trained as a referee, all you need to do is sign up (by sending us an email – see below) and we will add you to the scheduling distribution. We have an on-line scheduling program that allows you to pick the games you are willing to referee (as a center or an AR-assistant referee). Email reminders are sent out for you to sign up and occasionally special requests for game support. When you sign up for a game, the schedulers receive an email notification that you have signed up. The schedulers then review your requested game(s) and “approve” your assignment. In 99 out of 100 cases –your requested games are approved. If we see a problem, or need to handle the game differently, or if there are changes to the schedule – we will contact you. You can assume you are approved unless you hear differently. Click here to see more about how to use the on-line scheduling.

If you are not already on our Referee Distribution, please follow the instructions below and provide us with some information:

  • If you have not had any training as a referee – please email us (see below) and let us know you need training. We still need the contact info and player info and as much of the rest as you know. We will let you know when/how to get training ( click here for info on the referee training program and see what training is on the schedule so far). But until that time we can use you as an Assistant Referee or a 4 th Official.
  • Register as an AYSO Volunteer
  • If you have had any Referee training (from any organization), please email us (see below) with the contact info, player info, and training info. We will get you on the scheduling distribution ASAP.
