Refunds
AYSO Region 160 understands there are circumstances where a player is no longer able or willing to participate in the region's programs. AYSO Region 160 is run entirely by volunteers. Withdrawal from AYSO programs in Region 160 negatively impacts team balancing and formation, creates additional stress for volunteers, season planning, and negatively impacts the region financially.
ONCE AN ORDER (REGISTRATION) IS PLACED, THE AYSO NATIONAL PLAYER FEE, THE AREA 5C PLAYER FEE, AND CREDIT CARD TRANSACTION FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE. ADDITIONALLY, AS A TERM OF YOUR REGISTRATION, YOU AGREE THAT IF YOU INITIATE A CREDIT CARD CHARGEBACK DISPUTE THAT IS ULTIMATELY SETTLED IN AYSO REGION 160'S FAVOR, YOU AGREE TO PAY THE CHARGEBACK FEE OF $35.
It is AYSO's National policy that all other fees you have paid for registration may be fully refundable until the first scheduled event, which may be the first practice, first day of a clinic, first game, or other final commitment date as defined by the Region. The amount and timing of the refund, if any, is specified by the Region (AYSO Region 160) and included in your confirmation of registration.
AYSO Region 160 is not responsible for parent's mistaken registration of players in the incorrect region. AYSO Region 160 supports the Huntsville, AL metro area. The region will attempt to assist with transfer of players to the correct region, but is not responsible for financial loss due to negligence.
AYSO Region 160 is not responsible for parent's failure to understand the programs offered.
Please carefully review the following programs to ensure you understand the requirements and involvement expected of you, the parent or guardian registering the player(s):
AYSO Region 160 reserves the right to amend the Refund Policy at any time. The current version of the AYSO Region 160 Refund Policy is always available on the website.
AYSO Region 160 reserves the right to change the Registration Period End date. For the purpose of the Refund Policy, the initial date determined for the season registration end date will be used for all refund decisions.
AYSO REGION 160 RESERVES THE RIGHT TO APPROVE OR DECLINE REFUNDS ON A CASE BY CASE BASIS. REQUEST FOR REFUND DOES NOT GUARANTEE A REFUND OF REGISTRATION COSTS PAID.
Approved refunds will be applied to the credit card used to process the original transaction.
Circumstances Ineligible for Refund
The following situations are not eligible for a refund:
- Failure of parents to volunteer as a Coach to allow AYSO Region 160 create a team for the season.
- Conflicts with practice days/times selected by the Coach Volunteer.
- A player has participated in practice or game at anytime after registering.
- Inclement weather conditions or Acts of God resulting in cancellation of practices or games.
- Noncompliance with Kid Zone Parent Pledge and forcible removal.
- Noncompliance with Referee Abuse Prevention and forcible removal.
Requesting a Refund BEFORE Registration Period End
Refund requests received via email will NOT be processed without a corresponding submission of the Refund Request Form. If request for refund is made via email, you will be required to submit a Refund Request Form prior to any refund decision.
A refund request submitted prior to end of registration should result in a full refund of Region Fees pending approval by AYSO Region 160 Board Members.

Requesting a Refund AFTER Registration Period End
Refund requests received via email will NOT be processed without a corresponding submission of the Refund Request Form. If request for refund is made via email, you will be required to submit a Refund Request Form prior to any refund decision.
Refund requests received after end of registration period will be subject to a $50 fee deducted from the refund of Region Fees pending approval by AYSO Region 160 Board Members.
Refund requests received after end of registration are not guaranteed to be approved and are subject to review by AYSO Region 160 Board Members.
